I like to think so... lol.

But I would at least like a shot as an individual, on my own merits.

I agree. This upcoming bill needs to pass.

think guys (girls), all you need is relief...I don't care if Rubio's bill doesn't provide a path to residency, you can always marry a citizen. You can get an employer to sponsor you for an H1B visa (renewable = 6 yrs total).....and maybe they'll even sponsor you for a green card. --To increase your chances of this you should be an engineer or a computer geek.

Employer option gives you 10 fkn yrs to get a green card....Rubio's visa 4 yrs + 6 yrs in H1B visa.

Marriage option---well, under Rubio's bill you might just have 4 yrs.

We can find ways to legalize, what we can't do is wait forever.

I would qualify for this, and my longtime boyfriend and I are planning on getting married within the next few years anyway. So, whatever comes first I guess?

BUT, my older brother would not qualify for this because of age. I don't agree with the age restriction, it is waaaay too low. At least it is not military only.

Sister can sponsor her brother.

I think one of the biggest issues for Rubio is chain migration. So under this bill, depending on the restrictions, she most likely would not be able to sponsor him. I feel if they are going to restrict the chain migration other parts of the bill should be more lenient. We'll just have to wait and see.

I know and that is why he is proposing a non-immigrant visa which does not have a direct path to GC. That is solved.

Under the family based immigration, sibling USC can sponsor another sibling.

Under the F4 category.
