I'm curious too on what will happen. Also how'd he get in nursing school? I figured hospitals are strict :/

Was he in a gang? That is something that would disqualify you.

If he indeed got denied, I'm assuming that he had several convictions on violent offenses. THAT is what DHS would consider a threat to society. Maybe if you get into one fight in high school, then I understand and I don't believe it should be grounds for denial. However, if you have multiple violent offenses as an adult, I personally think those people do not deserve this gift and should NOT be approved. Petty property and traffic offenses will not look as bad as drug and violent crimes, even if the latter are misdemeanors.

Like others have mentioned I am assuming there were probably multiple offenses and perhaps serious.

One fight does not get you denied.

That sucks, but we need the whole story. A 'fight' is too vague. Obviously, DHS felt to do what was needed. Keep us informed.

For some reason I think the system will be down tomorrow. I think they may be working on wrapping up this month.

They are,especially with criminal convictions which makes these even more bizarre.
