Hmmm. First off all, not every one is a Christain, so religion and government issues shouldn't mix. As a gay guy, I still believe being gay is a sin, but at same time, I don't think any person has the right to look down on me. As much as I will be accounted for my homosexual behavior, you will accounted for adultery, lieing, gossiping, disrespecting parents, not caring for the needy, cursing, drinking alcohol. We all will be accounted for our faults. Just because someone is heterosexual, they are not getting a ticket to heaven. =)

I don't want LGBT to be included in CIR because it will create more hurdle.

I agree that LGBT and CIR should be separated in consideration.

However, I have questions for you. Are you religious? Do you think that you are going to hell? Do you hate yourself? I don't think being homosexual is a sin. Since when something natural is a sin? Did you choose your sexuality at birth? Did god make a mistake? If there is a god, I think he wants you to be happy and productive in life, like everyone else. It might sound awfully positive. But hey, I refuse to believe that god makes mistakes. Just something I believe in.

I wouldn't say I am religious because I commit many sins but I am God conscious and have fundamentalist belief. I don't think I can know if I am going to hell or not. God is VERY merciful and VERY forgiving and I think once we repent w/ sincerity God will forgive us. We are picking and choosing as to what benefits us particularly straight people who look down on gays. I used to hate myself because of my sexuality, and was tired of the self loathing . I have accepted who I am now and hope that God can forgive me whether its future sexual activities or any other sins for that matter. Being gay is not the only sin.

I am confused as to why its a sin when it is natural and was born into it. I guess being a fundamentalist muslim, I have abide by the holy book and have faith that God knows best.

Two years ago I went to RCIA (christian initiation rights) mostly to please my mom, but I couldnt stand the close mindedness of the people attending those classes. One time the topic of gay marriage came up and it got heated. I was basically arguing against 30 other people. I did such a good job of defending gay marriage and pointing out that the church has to change its middle age mentality ( I mean whats with the church using donation money that it doesnt pay tax on to fight the contraception mandate) that I got kicked out...

Basically what you're saying is, throw logic and your heart out the window and believe in the book, even when your brain is telling you that it isn't correct.

That's on of the things that bothers me about religion. The close mindedness and the ignorance of believing that what they believe is 100% correct and if you don't side with them you're going to hell.
