Okay, so I went into the DMV today. I went to take my permit test, and I showed the lady my EAD and the printout from the social security office.
The lady was hesitant to accept my form at first, but she conversed with the other two officials and they said "We didn't see a printout, did we?" Hinting that I would be allowed to do so, but I'm guessing their supervisor now disapproves of the practice.
But I passed the test and received my permit!
My social security card should arrive in a few days, also.

Well just practice, practice, and practice, and you will pass. You definitely do not want to make multiple trips and waste money. Also, the DMV is always packed. Save yourself some stress.
You live in Las Vegas correct? Are you planning on going to CSN first, gain credits, then transfer? You can save a ton of money. Also, study really hard in high school so by the time you finish you can qualify for the millennium scholarship.
I'm doing good. Thanks for asking. I am going to graduate with my associates from CSN next semester and I am currently employed.

Yes, it has all gone to hell. The process has slowed because of all the number of dreamers applying. A lot of people have been waiting six months and have yet to be approved. It is all random and up to luck, really.
