So I got approved back in December, got my EAD, social, license and bought me a car, everything under my name. So what's the deal with this c@$&sucker? Should I be concerned when I have to renew my license two years from now or is it just pointless like it seems since 99% of us will get our work permits along with our daca approval? Isn't this idiot likely to lose his election next year anyway?

Oh what a douche! He won't be governor next year anyway. It would suck if he voids our licenses though. I got my learners last week and am going to go take my drivers test in a couple weeks, so am he won't pull anymore douchey things until then.

I hope he doesn't, I'm going for my license in the next two days.

Your license was given to you for 2 years? I thought we would get it just for a year? My permit is only good for a year.

I think he meant 1 year. But yeah we won't have any problems unless Rick Scott decides to void our licenses. Like someone said earlier its a non issue. All this does is it stops DACA recipients from using our DACA approvals letters as proofs of residence.

EDIT: Found this on the Orlando Sentinel webpage. It's an excerpt from an article about how State Democrats are outraged on the veto.

Quote:
But Scott's veto is not likely to have any practical effect, according to the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.

That's because Florida has been accepting -- and still will accept -- Social Security cards and "unexpired employment authorizations" as proof of legal status, said department Communications Director Leslie Palmer.

She said that her understanding is that for "dreamers" to be granted deferments, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security requires them to apply for and receive both of those cards. So they should already have all the documentation they need to get a license, she said.

"It doesn't affect anything," the department does, Palmer said of the veto.

Same! As long as you have your EAD, Social, and verifiable address, you are good to go.
