In theory everybody that applied before March should've been approved already...but theories don't work on paper (much less for USCIS it appears, but I'm still giving them the benefit of the doubt). It sucks that you have been waiting for more than seven months, not only because it has stopped you from enjoying your life a bit better, but because it also says that I might also have to wait that long. Either way, nothing we can do. By the way, have you contacted your congressman?

A lot of people here that have contacted and asked their congressman (federal not state) for help have gotten positive results.

You might wanna look in the sticky threads (DACA approvals thread mostly); I cannot tell you exactly since I haven't done it, but I would give them a call and explain them your situation and how some others have asked their congressman to inquiry within the USCIS about their case and they've gotten positive results. I've read that you must fill out a release form so that the congressman can inquire about your case. Also, you might wanna make sure the congressman supports immigration rights, just in case.

Yea, it is odd the denial rate has been increasing as of late. I can't help thinking that it may be political, since CIR is becoming a possibility, and there have been some dissaproving 'voices' claiming USCIS is 'approving everyone under DACA'. But who knows.

But yea, the numbers do show that the process should only go faster, at least until CIR comes into play (if it does).. I just hope USCIS really moves faster for those of us waiting for over 6 months, and don't just leave our applications at the bottom of the pile, as it seems they do. I've seen a few approvals here & there in the past few days from people with similar timelines. crossing-fingers!!

I wonder if people realize that there are qualifications for DACA, especially a 'clean' record and at least high school completed (which in the end beings up being nothing, especially from seeing people's posts in here). It's not like anybody can apply and it is also up to the officer to approve the application (USCIS personnel, not just any office clerk). People complain because they can, but usually with invalid or unsupported stuff.

As for the approvals...I can imagine how you feel. I'm barely gonna finish my third month waiting and I feel frustrated, I can see how you can feel. It is unfair that applications are not processed by the time they arrive, but there's nothing any of us can do. It is a shame that USCIS needs better procedures for applications, but oh well. I guess once we become citizens we can try to change things.

On the CIR thing, I'm hopeful, but I'm realistic when I say it might not happen. People on both sides complaining rather than trying to compromise, and many pro-immigration groups also complaining about every little thing the bill has.

You have a timeline similar to mine! What's your EAC? I've been waiting since 12/06/12.
