So I need to start building my credit and i'm currently looking at options. I applied for a secured credit card from capital one but my application wasn't approved. Anybody know of a bank that can approve me with absolutely no credit? How am I supposed to build credit if I'm not given the chance to do it?

Try firstprogress.com

I got my first credit card there. They approve anyone.

I waited for a credit card offer in the mail.

Eventually got this awesome invitation brochure to join Discover, they're awesome.

If you cannot find anything yet, you may just get an invitation in the mail.

You should reapply but lie that you earn more money. It worked for me and I got a secured card.

Same here but my first credit card (secured) offer came to me in the mail from my bank. Try your bank, good luck!

This works. I said on my Discover application how much I earned a year based on my summer internship. Now, I have a $4,000 credit limit with 14 months of no interests!

The best way is to get an invitation by mail.

I got my first credit card by Discover and after that I got 5 more.
