I never encountered a problem doing a walk-in. I did have a problem at the SSA office with this one chick
Yup but apparently the only time this particular ASC allows walk-ins is if the person is traveling and brings in proof like a plane ticket. The officer deemed my excuse for walk-in wasn't an emergency and told me to come back on the appointment date. I don't know if he was BSing me though because clearly on the door it said they close at 4. One of the employee was literally staring at us the whole time just standing behind the officer and not doing anything. Anyways, I'm definitely not going back to this ASC if I don't have to.

Try somewhere else. Just show the paper and don't say you are doing a walk in...

I think I'll definitely do that next time. There are two ASCs that are closer so I might try going to one of them and using the other one as back up. I'm not in a hurry but I just don't know if I'll have an interview that day since it seems like companies tend to call/email the day before to schedule.

Its always good to take care of that right away. It seems walk ins help in speeding approval process.

I went little before 3, and he told me they stop taking appointments at 3. He said that unless I have legit proof then I can't do it early. There wasn't anyone waiting either. Truthfully, he was a condescending jerk and if I wasn't there for DACA then I'm pretty sure he would've just let me do it. We got into an mini argument because he said I was there for DACA and I said I was there for renewal. He went on to say that I wasn't there to renew anything and that I was there just to get DACA. Let just say it wasn't a great experience.

I hope you get someone who is more personable.

Yikes! What office was this at, if you don't mind.
