You are miss-informed. credit card companies don't want you to carry a balance, that is what gets you an A grade on that category, if you do carry a balance, it might not be terrible but it affects your credit negatively vs not carrying a balance.

I'm pretty sure what FinAnalyst meant was to have a balance when statement closes. Afterwards, the balance can be paid in full. Credit bureaus only know what the credit card company reports to them: the ending balance.

There is no benefit of carrying a balance. You are also miss-informed.

I don't think you understand what we're saying. There's a difference between "carrying a balance" and "carrying OVER a balance". You want to carry a small percent of balance because it shows the credit card is being used.

I don't think you understand what you are saying, carrying a balance is in reference to after your payment is due. If you understood otherwise, you completely are mistaken.
