So, please spare yourself the financial lessons. It's easier said than done!
Yeah I worked at a terrible tanning salon that paid minimum wage and gave me 10-12 hours a week.. Not complaining but I also was going to interviews at that time and now I honestly love my job

I would have had the money order in hand and ready to pay it 2 years ago. But hey, that's life.

I'm also glad to see other Dreamers use their new lease on life and do something with it. What I don't have patience for is seeing people get opportunities without working for it and then complain about it. It's not tough to save $500 in one and a half years with a work permit. If you think it's tough then it's time to pack it up and move back to your village. to complain about it is spitting in the faces of those of us who for the last 2 years have been waiting for a change in the rule and when we finally get it, have the rugs swept from under us.

"good luck" to you too.

Nahhhh sweetie I never said it was tough! I'm making bank now and not having my renewed DACA does not affect my job lol. It's just my license is pending to be renewed , get it straight

Just because you aged out is no need to be an asshole. Last time I did this I sent it in August and didnt get a card till February. So these people are sometimes late no matter what. Stop being so damn bitter.

If something is this important in your life like a work permit, and you had a year and a half to save money for it, you should have saved the money for it so at least you would have done what you could and if it was still delayed, then you could be grumpy that it's not fair etc.

If processing time is longer, how does applying three months later help speed up the process? Just curious how your logic works. Continue with the name calling though - it gives you a lot of credibility.

DACA renewal fee should REALLY be your # priority, if not, close to it. With out DACA, you COULD (actually by law you cannot work legally) your job, which all your other to be emergencies rely on. Renewals are taking longer than exepeting, with a good poriton getting approve months after they have expired and some here have lost their jobs.

As soon you get your EAD card, you should begin saving just for the renewal fee. Saving 1 dollar a day for less than 3 years should not be a problem. Get loan, beg your family to help you, sell your blood (well plasma)

Go back and check. After the original reply, I have only replied and defended myself and stayed on topic. If you want to talk confrontational, reply to the people who have resorted to name calling. This only shows to me that a lot of people who got the original DACA don't get how big of a gift it was.

Well I'm sorry, I just didn't think renewing would take as long as it is. We don't have to send in any proof of documents just one form. I didn't expect it to be the way it is you know? I know better for next time I'll send it and prepare myself for it better. But for now it is what it is, I'll get it when it comes. USCIS takes their sweet time. How hard is it to go print out a card and mail it? So fast to take the $465 payment and then they leave the application pending for months Lol
