Thanks for the outline!

I'm not an engineer, however I have been tracking the USCIS processing times obsessively since my boyfriend got his initial acceptance in 2014.

It seems to me, to be taking them about 140 days to approve people based on what I have gathered in forums and personal experiences. Also seems that it more precisely takes USCIS 16 weeks to get to an application, I estimate 20 weeks for an answer as a general maximum.

All of this is just my own estimate as well, more so it is just how I determined exactly when to file his renewal to ensure he didn't lose his legal job.

The email that you got from NSC seems to match my timelines above. renewals are happening somewhere in the range of 4 - 4.5 months.

Definitely seems like we both came to the same conclusion. Takes close to the 150 days, so people filing renewals should be advised to file accordingly.

If you decide to create a document with multiple data and experiences, I'll contribute.

That means I'm screwed.. I sent it about 125 days before expiration which is still in the time frame that USCIS gave us but according to this data I'm going to be out of status for at least a month?...fml

I would try to remain optimistic, if possible. Historically, approvals have come in waves, and as some have noted, August - October, are particularly active months for approvals for those who filed soon after the initial DACA announcement in 2012. There has also been rampant miscommunication by USCIS staff so while we're looking for hard data at the moment based on conversations with staff, it really is hard to tell at the moment.

If you look at the fine print in my original post, one disclaimer is that the timeline provided does not include Outliers, data points that do not follow a trend. Unfortunately, people, including yourself, who have not yet received their biometrics letter fall in this category. Some renewals are simply falling through the cracks. I encourage you to stay positive.

Good Luck!

Great Find!!

Based on the data, renewals seem to fluctuate between 3.5 and 4 months. This is based on the AS OF DATE (at the top of the page) - Filing date of last approved application.

What does that mean "Filling date of last approved application" Like for someone who applied in May.. what are they expecting...
