Same case here, waiver seems hard to obtain but not impossible. Best would be AP. I'm waiting til February and if still available apply for AP

Do NOT make this mistake. Find a way to make AP work ASAP. Please do not miss this opportunity right now.

I have the same request.

Does anyone have any recommendations of lawyers in Houston area that they have worked with and had a positive experience?

I would like to consult with an attorney/lawyer regarding what my immigrations options are since I haven't really been to one for over a decade.

I have DACA, I have a STEM degree, and I have been working with my DACA for almost 4 years now in the STEM field. I was brought in on a visitor visa when I was a child, and I want to know what other visa options for status change I may have, if any, other than marriage to a USC.

Not really if you have an EWI... I looked into this. It basically doesn't matter how talented you are, such an unfair system... I see so many women who aren't even educated get their green card quickly because they get married. Instead I went to school and worked hard, and for that I have no path to anything.

Yeah, I understand the frustration. It is really not fair and frankly plain stupid to not let us be more contributing members of society considering we have the education.

However, I don't have an EWI, I did enter with inspection. But of course I have had out of status time in the US.

You might be eligible to get employer sponsorship.

In the Dallas area my current attorney name is Nathan Christensen Immigration 972-436-8765. He's a Texas Tech Law graduate and confident in his game! Has a map with pins of people he's got them status from all over the world on his wall. He's worked on 3 of my cases 2 of which still pending and the first one being denied because of my past experiences (criminal record). We have recently applied for adjustment of status through 245(i) (Married a USC 12.5.16) and are waiting for a response. I highly recommend him! Hope this helps.

FIRST APPLICATION: i-821D/i-765
9/29/14 - NSC
10/22/14 - BIO
5/10/15 - RFE (accreditation of online high school diploma)
6/14/15 - RFE REPLY (replied with onlinewebsite evidence of accredidation. Fake website)
8/6/15 - DENIED
(High school not accredited)

Second Application: i-821D/i-765
12.23.15 - WAC
1.25.16 - BIO
1.25.17 - CASE WAS TRANSFERRED AND ANOTHER OFFICE IS TAKING JURISDICTION
2.2.17 - NO CIGAR YET

FIRST APPLICATION: Adjustment of Status through 245i. i-485/i-130/i-131/i-765
1.2.17 - Application Received MSC
2.3.17 - Biometrics APPT, Walk-In 1.24.17

I EWI back in 1992, my uncle (moms older brother USC) applied for my mom for 245(I) back before the law expired the first time and extended for a second time. Both of my older brother adjusted status without leaving the country, both USC now. My parents (Mexican) still believe they want to end their days in Mexico. I won't be content until they have status! #patientlywaiting
