Trump now not heading to FL amid gov't shutdown possibility.

Dick is saying they want to do a 3-4 day CR.

He also mentioned the House went home already. Unless they rush back to Capitol Hill we might have a shut down. Plus is my understanding that Mitch does not want a 3-4 day stop gap.

That's fine with me. Shut it down.

If they had this fight in December before passing that CR, the republicans wouldn’t have any excuse for another CR.

Either way , if the CR passes I’m pretty sure they’ll look like damn fools if they ask for another one in a month. The popularity would be so bad that even republicans won’t support it.
