I have the best of both worlds right now. I'm not completely alone since I have one roommate, but we have opposite schedules so I have the apartment to myself a lot. The rent is cheaper and I have some company. I also have my own bathroom, which is a big plus.

That’s awesome, especially if you have your own bathroom!

For those who live on their own, can you all list unforseen expenses that newbies like me might miss, and can yall give out any good advice to those of us who are planning to move out and live on our own?

Maybe tell us some of your bad experiences that you all learned from so that we can avoid them, if any.

Thanks

The bad about living on your own is that YOU have to come home and cook. No more mommy makes dinner. Of course sometimes you come home tired and eat out or order something but that tends to add up. YOU have to go grocery shopping for whatever you might wanna eat during the week. You have to pay cable/internet/light bill/ water bill. That’s pretty much all that I can think of right now.
