Travel? Small price to pay
Voting? Meh

What is it? It's just 500 bucks. To me and I would thin .ost of us the risk is not worth the reward.
Yes traveling is a big deal. There is more to life than just working. I don't even care about voting. I would take GC for life without thinking. I also want to work for government and without GC I can't do that.

Yeah, don't give a shit about voting but traveling the world is a big deal. Being caged in America not as bad but not what I want to do for the rest of my life.

The Trump administration took steps to rescind DACA protections ~8 months into his presidency. His administration wanted increasingly more over time (before it was 25 bil, then it was 4 pillars, then remove birthright citizenship), when the senate was working out a deal after dems did a 2 day shutdown, the Trump administration released a report at 2 AM to derail the deal and was successful in doing so. The deal with the most votes in the senate was more liberal than the deal the Trump administration proposed but it did not get 60 votes. The Trump administration's proposal had the least amount of votes. Later, the courts stepped in to allow renewals. I know you know these things because you were here for it.

If you remove the noise and all the talk, here are the ACTIONS that were taken in terms of the US government.
- Obama started DACA (Executive branch)
- Trump moved to rescind DACA (Executive branch)
- The courts stepped in to allow only people with DACA to renew (Judicial Branch)

"he was going to be good for Dreamers and he has for me" - ????
"I'm still here and not deported" - because of the court which is a separate branch of government, otherwise you would be
'My EAD was not terminated on "Day 1"' - but trying to terminate your EAD 8 months into the presidency is fine then?

If things are going the way people are expecting (SC rules in favor of rescinding DACA), DACA is a pawn. Yes. You, a DACA holder, is a pawn. A pawn for political gain. When SC rules, it'll create urgency. Ask yourself who does that help in negotiations.

Any permanent relief will have to come from Congress. A Congress that's seemingly more divided than before. A Congress that has tried to address the dreamers in both chambers and have failed in the past.

At one point, I too did think Trump would've helped the dreamers. I became more skeptical when he pulled out of the $25 billion for DACA deal. I think there are people in his administration that changed his mind and those people are seemingly in control. There's too much going on for him right now, so those people in his administration are handling the strategy on using DACA to get whatever they want. The goal is the give the bare minimum and maximize what they want. So in essence, it has to pass Congress and it has to have Miller's approval. Just imagine what kind of bill it would have to be to have Miller approve of it.

Unless Trump personally steps in, Kushner steps in, or GOP leadership step in to sideline Miller and other hardliners, I personally do not think there's going to be a deal. I really hope Trump understands he needs the latino vote and giving a good deal on DACA is the best way to do it in these circumstances. However, the hardliners in his administration will push their hard line agendas. From my perspective, their goal is to audition for their next job in government by being hard headed hard line because it's obvious they don't care about his re-election.

There’s just not gonna be a deal. Not one that would make sense for dems to take. You cannot get rid of H1B big business are not gonna allow it. Our parents also shouldn’t be collateral damage.

2Face continues to yet again prove how much of an dumb idiot he truly is.

Trumps attempts to end DACA 8 months into his presidency

2Face “I have DACA so trump is good for us”

But it was because federal courts that stopped trump from removing your DACA

2Face “I have DACA since day 1 trump is good to me”

2Face you need to stop trolling

9am central time with 10 minute intervals between opinions. There are still a total of 16 pending opinions and at the pace of 3-4 decisions each opinion day we may need to wait another week. I believe monday next week and thursday, also the 30th could be a possible decision day.

Anyone else see SMOOTH playing favorites? If it was any other user calling another "dumb idiot", they'd be banned. (rolling eyes)
