If it’s just a hearing does that mean there won’t be a ruling?

eDACA and DAPA didn't go through a comment period and that's how it ended up getting killed.
Was it in the federal register though?

DACA has sympathy because every single one of us were a minor when we arrived - whether we were 1 or 15 years old.
I agree. DAPA was just done as a little push for Hillary.

That was dumb move. Hillary 2016 was one of the worst presidential candidate they could of chosen. Her entitlement was the reason we had to suffer 4 years of trump.

I agree. I wish that first of all, DACA didn't have the age limit of 30 (as of 2012) on it. In lieu of that, I wish Obama would have quietly removed the age limit in 2013 and 2014 and I doubt anybody would have batted an eye.

But you have to remember the climate back in 2013- All these pro immigration groups were yelling at him and other Democrats to legalize everybody and calling him the Deporter in Chief. Even a lot of people on here were saying that he could do a lot more for immigrants if congress wasn't going to act. "If he can do it with DACA, why didn't he do it for all 11 million people?"

So he got together with his lawyers and came up with the most plausible legal way he could do it and they came up with DAPA with the belief that eventually since they have USC children, they could have a pathway to legalization so this would hold off their deportation. And of course Republicans weren't going to show an ounce of sympathy or empathy for adults who came here willingly.

So in the end, the Dreamers suffered. Myself because I got my hopes and dreams shot to hell one day before I could file an application for expanded DACA and you guys with the constant fear of DACA ending over your heads. In the end though, I blame Republicans followed by the "legalize everybody or nobody at all" crowd, and at the very end, Obama's administration for not thinking this through all the way.

I should add that had Hillary won the election, it COULD have turned out very differently. Remember that DAPA/Expanded DACA didn't actually get struck down in SCOTUS. It was an 4-4 tie. Had Hillary won, a liberal judge would have gone in, the case would have been reheard and it could have been a completely different timeline now and we'd be cheering for it and everybody would be yelling about the other 6 million undocumented not being legalized.

It sounds like, Hanen is going to for sure kill the program in its totality.

Oh boy, he we go again. My stress levels are just to the roof. Not only is my EAD expiring on Jan 06th and haven't received a single update or biometrics appointment/notice but now I have to worry about Hanen… again

Same here. My EAD expires in May and I am freaking out about when I get approved. Will our pending EADs be even processed? Some people say he might not do anything because of the pandemic. I pray that it is so, hope he has a heart. Be a compassionate conservative lol
