Re: Finally, a bipartisan deal to help the "Dreamers"

I’m trying not to get personal, but it’s usually the biggest idiots that talk the most/yell the loudest.

Maybe he’ll get something right one of these days. After all, a broken clock is correct...

Re: Finally, a bipartisan deal to help the "Dreamers"

My comment is not contradictory. I said they’re our best bet, but it doesn’t mean they will help us and will continue to throw empty promises. It’s just that both sides suck and two party system is a...

Re: Finally, a bipartisan deal to help the "Dreamers"

You are disillusioned if you think McCarthy will pass anything DACA or immigration related.

Enough with sucking the Republican nutsack and get on board that they definitely aren’t gonna solve...

Re: Finally, a bipartisan deal to help the "Dreamers"

It was a stupid post tho. Not sure if it’s the stupidest post of the year considering there are plenty here, but yours was bad.

Listen, tl;dr? Democrats are pussies and dangle issues for voters...

Re: Finally, a bipartisan deal to help the "Dreamers"

Doesn’t really matter if they are trying to pass this bill during lame duck session. Warnock would still vote regardless.

Re: Durbin: Congress Must Act in the Lame Duck Session to Protect Dreamers

Original Dream Act back in 2010 was voted on December 9th or 10th if my memory serves me correctly. Obviously it didn’t pass but we do have couple of weeks here.

I do hope all this silence about...

Re: Durbin: Congress Must Act in the Lame Duck Session to Protect Dreamers

Looking at that chart, i do feel more optimistic that we may have enough votes.

But something needs to be voted on and democrats to not f it up by adding more irrelevant things to the bill. Also...

Re: Durbin: Congress Must Act in the Lame Duck Session to Protect Dreamers

You do know Dick Durbin is just 1 senator, right? He’s not some voodoo magician that they can have all his senators vote yes on dream act.

I for one is appreciative of Dick Durbin for continously...

Re: Democrats call protections for ‘Dreamers’ a lame-duck priority

For Dream Act, it’s 4-5 votes we have according to Durbin.

If Dema can add something else to appease the GOP like more funding for border security, i think we can get the 10 votes needed. Hence...

Re: Democrats call protections for ‘Dreamers’ a lame-duck priority

I really hate posts like these here.

I get it, nothing has been done and both parties has fucked us. But it’s ok to be cautiously optimistic at times, especially when it seems like there’s a...

Re: Democrats call protections for ‘Dreamers’ a lame-duck priority

I know there is always a pessimism on this forum (rightfully so as politicians from both parties like to fuck us in the ass), but this one i’m cautiously excited for. There’s a real potential here....

Re: Democrats eye DACA fix in lame-duck session

Exactly. I’m 34 year old in the DACA program. There are plenty of us.

I hate making it about politics but conservatives has way more of the tendency to be all about “me, me, me” and narcissism...

Not doubting that Those channels aren’t liberal bias, but conservative platforms like Fox are the same if not worse.

I wasn’t planning on responding to you because you’re clearly a bit childish,...

Re: NBC News: Dreamers to lose protection early next year.

I agree with this.

As it stands with polling, looks like Democrats will have slightly majority in the senate while Republicans will control the house.

Re: NBC News: Dreamers to lose protection early next year.

Lame Duck session is our best bet. They’re going to need 10 R’s, and Manchin & Sinema. According to Durbin, he can probably get 4-5 R’s on board for Dream Act.

Only way Dream Act gets passed is if...

Re: NBC News: Dreamers to lose protection early next year.

If you read the article, they think Judge Hanen is going to ultimately end protection and EAD for current recipients because he already declared DACA illegal.

I sent my renewal 2 weeks ago, and it...

Re: Job searching during these times

If i send my ead renewal right now, they will accept the application but won’t approve it until it hits 150 days from expiration. No point in sending it right now when i can send it in december.

That wasn’t the point of my post. Because of the daca ruling any time now, we have no idea if renewals will be allowed. In that case, what’s the point of moving to a different company when my ead...

Re: Has there been any updates lately on DACA's appeal status at the 5th circuit?

The last i heard, which is probably when you heard, was that there cannot be new applications for DACA, but people already in the DACA program can continue to renew.

I have no idea if that’s final...

I obviously never bring up my daca status to a girl i’m dating until maybe the 1 month mark. Anyone here ever told a girl/guy your status on a 1st or 2nd date?
