My spouse will not be able to sponsor my parents since they are not immediate relatives to her. I will have to wait and become a citizen and sponsor them.

I went to my interview on March 17th 2016 and was approve the same day. I got my "Welcome to the US" letter on the 22nd of March and my Residency card 2 days later. SO everything was pretty fast.
