I got my U-Visa approved about 1.5 years ago.

The whole process from start to finish took about 1.5 years. Don't know if this is typical or I just had shitty lawyers.

I might be wrong and would hate to cause fear or panic but isn't a DUI enough to be denied DACA and be deported?

I don't think you qualify for DACA because one of the requirements is to have unlawful status the day it was enacted. You have a workers permit that I assume you've had since June 15 2012
