No written test gives you permit to drive but its limited. Road test give you DL immediately if you pass.

lol i got back in Houston from my travel on Dec 7th i went to the dmv around the airport that same day got my permit. Saturday night i saw opening for road test on Monday 10th got a really bad lady...

Don't forget to get affidavit from friends. if you go to church get a letter from the priest. if you buy stuff online log in and print your invoices.
