I was instantly approved for an unsecured Capital One card when I applied online. It only asked for my ssn and annual income, not citizenship. You should start with a secured line if you are not able...

Maybe my case could help some people who are still waiting for their card in the mail. If you are not on the lease of your place, you might want to let them know. Just to prevent this from happening...

I know there is a checkpoint in Temecula, but the couple of times I've been to SD they never checked so I can't say what it is specifically they ask for if they do check.

Agreed on non-latex condoms. I think OP might just be nervous and not used to having to use a condom. Nothing to be embarrassed about.

To be on an eight year visa status is a long wait to gc and then citizenship, but it is still better than being undocumented. A lot of people could benefit from this.

You're right. When I said try out different ones, I didn't mean go to a store and buy a bunch of condoms and test it out. Just like with birth control, you should contact a doctor. No need to scare...

My experience was the opposite. The man helping me did not want to see my BC. Only EAD and passport. I agree on bringing both docs just in case.

It has been 2 weeks since I applied for ssn and I have yet to receive it. My receipt does not have a case number so this whole time I assumed I am in the clear already. The customer rep on the phone...
