I got my DL in 15 days. I think you just have to wait a tiny bit more. The printout is still valid for like a month, I believe.

My EAD also only has an initial for the middle name. I just wanted to get as specific as possible with the driver's license, so I put the full middle name. I think it's correct either way. ;)

Yeah, you're gonna receive another card. Looks like you applied for both the ID and DL at the same time, then a few weeks later, took the driving test. That was quick!

I took my school ID the first time I went for biometrics, and they didn't accept it. It had to be an official form of ID, like a Mexican passport or "matricula".

For my form, I just filled it out like I was applying for a regular Class C driver's license(as opposed to learner's permit). According to the lady I talked to, you can remove the restriction...

Hell, I got mine 6 days ago and thought it was too BIG. Especially for wallets. I guess they really don't want you putting it in there. ;)
