Re: cost of adjustment of status through marriage w/ lawyer

The cost depends on the lawyer. You can find lawyers that will charge $3,000, while some will charge over $5,000.

If you're eligible to adjust in the country, then I wouldn't anything more than...

Re: PERM Question

No, your alien number alone isn't proof. An alien number is assigned pretty much to anyone who's had some contact with USCIS. A legal permanent resident has one, as well as anyone that has been...

Re: School related, FAFSA, pin HELP

If you file online, it asks you if you're a US citizen, eligible noncitizen, or neither. Just choose "I am not a citizen or eligible noncitizen."

I think some schools require you to apply for...

Re: In an event of a Border Patrol Checkpoint

If you claim to be a US citizen, and you are caught lying, you will be detained and deported.

Look up 212(a)(6)(C)(ii). A false claim of US citizenship will get you banned from the US forever,...

Re: marriage question

Yes, living with your spouse is a part of marriage, but it's not always possible!!

You can marry your boyfriend, and he can petition you. You will be questioned about the living arrangements, but...

Re: You CAN join the military.

This is ridiculous.

The recruiter is NOT the only person that looks into your background. They aren't the only ones you have to go through. After the recruiter, there's MEPS. Theyre the ones that...

Re: My sister (dreamer t00) is 6 mos pregnant and hasnt seen a doctor I need advice

I understand that you don't want to leave your children. Can't blame you. But you can't wait forever. You have an opportunity that many people would love to have. It's no guarantee, but it's...

Re: My sister (dreamer t00) is 6 mos pregnant and hasnt seen a doctor I need advice

FloridaROD, I don't know what crappy, incompetent lawyers you spoke to, but that's not true. There is no marriage waiver that ended in 2002.

It does not matter if you entered legally with a visa...

If your friend can pick you up and drive you through the gate, you most likely won't need an ID. Although, most bases do 100% ID check of everyone in the vehicle after like 10pm.

My family and I...

Re: planned parenthood?
